Summer taxes are payable starting on July 1st, and due September 14th.
Winter taxes are payable starting on December 1st, and due by February 14th.
Blackman Charter Township is pleased to announce new electronic ways you can pay your tax bill.
You can pay your tax bill through our website:
Option 1: You can have the payment deducted from your checking or savings account, for a flat $3.00 "convenience" fee for checks up to $10,000. This service will save you the trouble of writing a check and dealing with postage.
Option 2: Pay at the Township front counter with a credit or debit card. You can use a credit or debit card, paying a 3% "convenience" fee.
Option 3: (NEW): You may speak to a Personal Teller at Point-n-Pay to make payments for a $5.00 additional fee. Call 877-495-2729.
If you find paying your property tax in a lump sum payment is hard, you can make several smaller payments. Please verify the amount due on our website or by calling our office. You can do this as many times as you like prior to the due dates.
You may qualify for a Summer Tax Deferment which gives you more time to pay your summer tax bill. Your application must be received in the office by September 14th.
Any taxes unpaid on March 1st are turned over each year to the Jackson County Treasurer's office (517) 788-4418.
**DISCLAIMER. All residents of Blackman Charter Township using this service should understand that Blackman Charter Township will not be responsible for the incorrect entry of account numbers by the payer.
